Nevada's relaxation in divorce laws meant that within six weeks of divorcing you could remarry. Within Las Vegas it became popular to wait out this peroid in a "dude ranch" and then have a Las Vegas wedding. These dude ranch were the fore runner of Las Vegas Strip Hotels.

With the legalization of gambling into gaming and the industry that came with World War II Las Vegas was really booming. The hotel industry thrived in the influx of workers just as today with tourists.
